This is turning into a diary!

The Burgman came back from the first service with a new plug fitted. It seems they could find nothing to account for the poor cold starting so they changed the plug (and charged me for the new one). Needless to say it has made no difference. I think I will experiment with slightly opening the throttle whilst operating the starter as I don't think there is a real problem as the bike does fire but not with enough power to keep going (does this make sense?).

As far as the brakes/strange/rough sound are concerned the dealer said nothing could be done as it was caused by the fact the Burgman has "floating disks" and "They all do that Sir" HMMMM!!

Surprise surprise Saturday arrived and the sun was shining so, we decided a day out was called for. We kitted up and headed for Dalby forest.

The Burgman behaved impeccably on the journey and as I can now use 3/4 throttle I'm getting some feel of the performance. The accelleration is very smooth, quick and it does not seem to matter at what speed you open the throttle. Overtaking takes very little time indeed.

I was cruising at 70-75mph for a while and apart from the wind buffeting the Burgman handled it with no problems whatsoever. This bike is going to be quick flat out!

The Burgman cetainly attracts attention, I suppose it is because there are none around here. Everytime we stopped there were questions about the bike. It's funny really you can go out in the car day after day and no one will speak but go out on the bikes and everyone wants to talk. It's really pleasant!

I do seem to have sorted the cold starting problem open the throttle by about 3mm hit the button and she goes
