More thoughts on the comparison of the

Majesty YP 250

to the Burgman AN 400

Having now rode the Burgman in the dark I find the high beam switch more difficult to reach than the one on the Majesty. It seems higher and is a bit of a stretch to reach with my thumb.

As you can see the high beam switch is almost on top of the control on the Burgman.

Perhaps if the whole unit could be turned this would make it easier but the unit cannot be moved as the mirror mounting is already is against the plastic shroud of the handlebars.

I have highlighted the cover to the coolant tank on the Burgman. This is the one that must be prised off to check the level of coolant.

Having taken both Gwyn and Jenny on the pillion of both machines they both feel the Majesty is better for passengers. It would seem that the pillion seat on the Burgman is simply too long. Passengers seem to feel insecure as they can slide around between the backrest and the rider.

Up to present, I think I am of the opinion the Majesty has a slight edge on the Burgman in most areas. I am sure there are people who would strongly disagree. Perfomance of course is far superior on the Burgman which is why I bought it. What we need is a 400cc or larger Majesty.

I will add to these pages as time goes on so keep checking back.
