I was quite surprised that it was so quiet at Sherburn. I've been in the week before and it has been quite busy. Sundays and Wednesday nights at Sherburn are heaving with bikes. The sun was shining it was really warm. I'd put a jumper on and was now cursing the fact that with the wet gear, disk lock and the camera under the seat there was no where to put it so I had to leave it on.

We left Sherburn me having had a full breakfast with chips (pig), Gwyn had a ham salad - very healthy, and headed off to York. York was very busy and the main Car park was full so we sneaked the bikes under the bridge that spans the Ouse (not sure of the name of it).

We left York and headed home. When we were nearly home I was behind Gwyn, at one point and she had to slow down for the traffic and I noticed something on her back tyre. I pulled her over and had a look.
There stuck in her brand new tyre of her brand new bike was a B****Y screw!

If you have read the saga continues for 2000 then you will know the same thing happened to her the first ride on her 125 last year. So lightening does strike twice. The difference here is that the GPZ, like most modern bikes, has tubeless tyres so usually a nail etc. won't actually deflate the tyre. So in a year Gwyn has had 2 punctures and I have had one - is this a record - I doubt it!

So as I write this the GPZ is back at the dealers to have the tyre sorted. They think they may be able to repair the tyre as the screw is not near the edge or in the tyre wall and this type of tyre can be repaired. However, if they must replace the tyre, apart from the sheer waste of it, and the fact they don't have one in stock, I will not be too bothered as I don't know how I feel about repaired tyres on a bike. I suppose if the manufacturer says this tyre can be repaired it should be OK.

So once the bike is back and I have a little time I will put up pics thoughts etc.
